If you are expecting Wynn accomidations at this price , you will be very disapointed. If you are a fan of "old Vegas," stay at the Fitz. DO NOT stay here. At all. It is dirty, the wallpaper was peeling in the room, the bathroom was filthy. I actually bought a bottle of bleach and poured in the tub. The elevators are horribly slow. Not only are the rooms dingy and outdated, but the rest of the hotel isn't any better. Don't bother trying to go downstairs for breakfast, I waited 27 minutes for an elevator to go down, and 23 mintues for it to come back up. With over 30 floors, and only 4 elevators (2 of which were broken on my stay)... more

Fitzgeralds is a very pleasant small hotel and casino. The check in desk was close to the car drop off which was great although quite unusual in Vegas as the hotels do like you to trek through the casinos with your luggage at most of the themed hotels. This was our first time staying here, and because the rates are way cheaper downtown i don't expect a fancy room, but i do want clean! HOusekeeping is definately lacking because after our room had been cleaned there were still ashtrays that had not been emptied and the tub did not look as it had been cleaned either.
