This place is very average. Rooms are decent sized and in good condition. But unless you like REALLY hard water, don't plan on enjoying your shower. Also, don't plan on any room service because there is none available. And if you want to grab a beer/cocktail outside of what is in the mini-bar......good LUCK! My wife and I stayed in a Whirlpool Suite and found the accomodations fantastic. Be sure to visit the Spa area. The spa contains a wonderful gym, whirlpool and steam room. Great place to stay. Would reccomend it any time. more

As the others have said here, this really is a terrific hotel, probably the best in Des Moines. Rooms are spacious and comfortable (ask for the corner fireplace suites) with huge bathrooms, and everyone is very friendly.
