My wife and I went to Animal Kingdom Lodge for our honeymoon and could not have picked a better location. Everything about the resort is Disney quality, but without the cartoonish feel of some other Disney properties. The food at Boma was surprisingly good, and since my wife is a vegetarian it was nice to see that the Mara served... more

Good: -Lodge was stunning -Savannah was cool -Staff was friendly -Check-in was fairly quick -Jiko and Boma were nice, Boma was better -Check out was a breeze Bad: -The Mara is average at best, but so are all quick serve places in Disney. -Rooms are VERY small... 2 adults, 2 kids... no room for luggage and to move at the... more

I have dreamed of staying at this hotel for a few years and it was well worth the wait. What a beautiful place. The kids loved it!! Where else can you wake up and say "Let's see if the giraffe or zebra are out this morning??" We were not disappointed and saw many animals. More than I had imagined. The... more

We have just returned from a holiday in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. We had been told that building work was going on and had read reviews that said they saw and heard building work while staying there. I have got to say we never heard or saw a thing, if there was building work going on we were not aware... more

From the second you walk in the door, you are bathed in warm, earthy scents. We were there for the holidays and the tree was breathtaking. The wall opposite the entrance is several stories of solid glass with subtle metal vines from floor to ceiling and looks out over a fire pit used for nightly story telling and animals. The... more

I could go on and on about the Animal Kingdom Lodge… If you’re into animals, and the whole African/Safari theme, then this is the perfect place for you. We stayed on the 2nd floor – which has a terrace that looked right out onto the “Savannah.” A complete, unobstructed view of the animals… complete with rocking chairs and binoculars. We... more

Really this is a unique hotel with access to Disneyworld, and view of zoo animals. The lobby is really cool, with an african decor. All and all I don't think it's worth the $280+ for a room there. We got in early in the morning, and could not check in 'till 3pm. This was kind of a problem for us... more

Disney's Animal Kingdom lodge can be described as an African themed hotel with African animals grazing around it, but this does not begin to do it justice. Of course it is Disney fantasy but it is so well done, the hotel looks great, feels wonderful to be in and we never got tired of looking out and seeing zebras, giraffes,... more

We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge with our two boys, ages 3 and 6 and another family who's kids are 2 and 6 and we had a wonderful time. The hotel is amazing. Probably the best one at Disney. The food was delicious. We ate at Jiko's our first night and it was the best meal I had the... more
