We had stayed there with the kids, the kids loved it.. I on the other hand hated it. The beds are terrible. There are not enough beach towels. the common beach area is very small. The rooms look like they have not been update in 20 yrs. The microwave is old and the fridge door was broken The first night... more

had some problems checking in, they couldn't find my reservation then they tried to charge me for an upgrade for a water view when i already paid for that upgrade during booking. It took some doing to get her to understand that fact. Not very friendly. Other staff was friendly. Accomodations were fair for price. Location was good. more

This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed. The room we stayed in totally needed renovation. Most important on this was the electrical outlets. Face plates were cracked or had pieces missing exposing the outlets. Some of the outlets would not securly hold the plug. One outlet would not securely hold a plug. About the pool, it was... more

The front desk personnel lied to me about when the room would be ready. It was down hill from there. They were not at all very Guest oriented, it was like they were to busy for you. The place looks okay from the outside but it is very old, worn, outdated and dirty. OVERPRICED for a "beach front" and I... more

We stayed at the Sea Wake over July 4th. The elevators are old, small and scary. The hotel hasn't been renovated in decades. The hallways and rooms have that old, musty smell, and the a/c unit barely cut down the humidity. The beds are old and uncomfortable, and the linens appear to be older! We had a balcony facing the... more

We are actually still at this hotel. Like someone else said, the pictures on the website make it seem really nice, but it's not. Both my friend and I said that it was definitely not as nice as on the website! The good: The beach is close and the water is warm. The pool was good and the kids enjoyed... more

We lucked up on this hotel after problems with our reservations in St. Pete Beach. This place is great although maybe in need of a little repair. The beds are not very comfortable but who stays in bed very long when there are so many things to do and see in the area. We liked the private beach because we... more

I stayed at the Clearwater Beach Best Western Sea Wake ‘Resort’ a week ago while on business, and I have to say, the hotel’s website gives an image that the hotel doesn’t quite live up to. The good (which keeps it from being a 1 star review): Staff was pleasant, especially the nice woman running the breakfast area. View from... more

stay away!!! This hotel is right on the beautiful beach. That's where the nice stops. The rooms clearly have not been fixed up since the 80's. They smell musty. there are only 2 elevators - very small and slow!! our phone didn't work. we checked out early. more

We stayed here for a quick 2 night stay in March 06 and went back in 07 for another quick stay. Both times were very pleasant! We were very excited to see the beach at this hotel. It was perfect. The grounds are more than gorgeous! We are resort/condos buffs, but opted for this since it was such a quick... more
