We stayed at the BW Mountain Shadows hotel becase I had stayed here many times as a kid. I Was glad to see that they were renovating the rooms and adding granite to the vanities. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The walls were a bit thin, allowing us to hear some of what our neighbors were doing. Breakfast was... more

I made reservations about 2 weeks in advance. Requested a 1st floor room explaining that I was traveling with a 94 year old man who had trouble walking and guaranteed the room for late arrival. Upon arrival, there were no 1st floor rooms available. Requested a 1st floor room for the following day which we got. There was no offer... more

The Best Western Mountain Shadows was not the nicest Best Western I've stayed at, but I would consider staying there again. The room itself was ok, the frig smelled a bit, but the hotel gave us something for the smell. The wireless service does not always work in the room, so sometimes you have to go to the lobby to... more

The room was small and certainly not worth $100. It looked like there had been an attempt to update the furnishings but it was haphazard at best. It was very cool at night so we turned the thermostat up so that we heat would come on. After 15 minutes there was no heat so we contacted the office. The young... more

One night was plenty for us at this hotel for the following reasons: The non-smoking room we requested reeked of stale (and fresh) cigarette smoke as did the the furniture; large noticeable stains on the carpet; adjoining room allowed us to hear our neighbor's telephone conversations and choice of television programs; paper-thin walls made it possible for us to hear... more

Adequate sized room. Soft beds. Clean. Coffee Machine in the room kept overflowing. Great air conditioner. Pool ok, but inside a glass bubble. Hot tub not very hot. Continental breakfast boring and bland. Not a lot within walking distance, but you can drive anywhere in Durango within 15-20 minutes. Spotty, hit or miss wireless internet access. more

Stayed two nights, first night had a king size bed, sofa, micro, frig, coffee maker, amenities, large room...next night had two queen beds, sofa, bathroom not guite as modern as first room but still... more

This is a great hotel for families. The pool area is great, close to the rooms but in a separate building so no noise bothers people in the room. The room was clean, bed very comfortable. Our room had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, double sink, etc. This hotel has a great continental breakfast; wide choice of lots of different... more
