This is mainly a huge old school golfing resort with additional spa facilities. A couple of miles outside of the town of Napa which makes it rather inconvenient, spacious grounds generally well cared for if you are not a horticulturist. Historical main building was newly renovated but inauthentic modern and incongruent touches. We originally booked a $140 a night room,DON'T do... more

It started with the doorman greeting us as we entered the Mansion which houses the front desk, business center and banquet rooms. We reserved a junior fireplace room but asked the clerk for an upgrade since it was our anniversary. We were lucky that they had available one bedroom suites overlooking the golf course and Room 731 was only an... more

This is a large resort with lots of amenities. It is under a 10 minute drive to Napa. Everyone was friendly. If you go to the spa and charge it to your room, a 20% tip is simply "added on" before you get your treatment. Facial by Montana was great, pedicure by Lenaise was also great and deep tissue massage... more

Just came back from a weekend at the resort at silverado. We stayed at a newly remodled 2 bedroom suite at the cottages. It was a pleasant stay in a beautiful setting. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and modern. I would highly recommend more

We stayed here in July 2008 for a conference. The rooms are very nice and large. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The bathroom was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. If you're expecting a four-seasons/mandarin oriental type place, this is not it. It probably was in its heyday, but it is an older place. But it is very... more

After reading the reviews here my expectations weren't high. However, the Silverado was relatively inexpensive compared to all the hotels in the area. However, when we got to the resort, I was quite pleasantly surprised! We pulled up and right away someone was there to greet and direct us. Check-in was pretty easy. Asked for a non-smoking room and they... more

What a disappointment! The setting and the grounds are beautiful but the place is a dump! We rejected the first two rooms (dungeons with no light) we were offered and finally settled in room 297. The decor is 1970s Motel 6. Terrible linens, small room, no real door (just a sliding glass entrance) The bathroom was the worst I have... more

Booked this last minute and it turned out to be a good idea. My friend and her husband booked 3 months ago. I called on Monday and we got in for the weekend. this is my tip for you all: the reservation gal said to always call the hotel 5-6 days before because they have a 7-day cancellation and rooms... more

Stayed at the Silverado for several nights at the end of June. The resort has the gracious aura of a bygone era. The grounds are beautiful and the Silverado Spa was great. We were booked into a two bedroom cottage adjacent to the pool, which was a perfect location for our purposes. I will say that location is very important,... more

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room I was in had a paper thin wall connecting me to the condo of another family. I felt like I was staying with this family as I could hear their every word, bodily function and movement. I called the front desk for assistance and received no help, nor compensation when... more
