I am a business traveller who has been on the road 50 weeks a year for 10 years, and this is without qualification the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Yes, there is a pool, but other important services are seriously lacking. There is no guest laundry, so you are forced to either use their expensive cleaning service or... more

This is a reasonably nice hotel that aspires to be "business-class" but doesn't quite make it. On the other hand, the price is not bad in the context of the area. Hotels just ain't cheap around here. The property is right off the Powell Street exit of the 80/580/880 complex on the East Bay side of the Bay Bridge. Very... more

Very good business class hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms appear to have some recent renovation with newer furniture and light fixtures. Beds and pillow were extremely comfortable! Above average in cleanliness and service. Walking distance to a major shopping plaza with stores and restaurants. Starbucks and Trader Joes is across the street for snakes or food. more

We were assigned this hotel when we booked on hotwire, so it was an accidental booking. Nonetheless, we were pleased with it - staff was quite friendly, rooms were perfectly comfortable, etc. COnsidering it is right next to a freeway, an overpass and a train station: was fairly quiet! Bartender gave my little daughter an oatmeal cookie - always a... more

Stayed for several nights and had several problems. The upgraded rooms are nice, but half of them are adjacent to a busy street with a lot of noise. The regular room I tried smelled bad, like someone with bad BO had been sleeping in the room. Unclear if that was it or if it was from water in the carpet.... more

Whatever you do, DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL ONLINE. If you need to cancel, THEY WILL KEEP HALF YOUR MONEY even if you cancel 3 weeks in advance - that's the penalty you get for receiving an internet discount. It's a crummy, sneaky policy and they should be boycotted because of it. more

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 young children) stayed here for 6 days and the hotel clearly served its purpose, with its location being the primary selling point. Emeryville is just north of the Oakland side of the Bay Bridge and its hotels offer convenient access both to San Francisco and Napa/Sonoma without having to pay the extortionate hotel... more

My girlfriend and I have stayed at this property a few times. We do not have many complaints. It meets our need and it is good for the price. It is not a true four star property but if you are looking for one, there are many of them in SF that are much more expensive. The front desk staff... more

I book this place for my sister when she came into town to visit. Out of all the choices in the Emeryville 'hotel hub', it was the least expensive. Pros: pretty good view of the city from the 7th floor (bay side); plenty of parking; very accessible; clean room. Cons: The kitchen had some kind of a problem, and informed... more

I stayed here several nights in several different rooms before finally giving up and trying other nearby hotels. The problem is the Four Points' location. The hotel is shaped like a rectangle, with the front (west) and back (east) being the long sides. Rooms face either west or east. The front of the hotel is right next to the freeway... more
