My husband and I recently spent four nights at Skukuza camp and opted for the "luxury riverside bungalows". The title's a bit of a misnomer, they're not luxurious but they are perfectly comfortable, better than the very basic bungalows offered at Skukuza. What is nice is that they have wonderful views of the Sabie River as they are situated on... more

Spent a couple of nights in Kruger at end of June, 2008 with wife and adult daughter. One night was at Skukuza in a hut with included bathroom. Nice accommodations, went on evening and early morning game drives from this location and saw Big 5 within 24 hours. Hut had cooking facilities but didn't use them - dinner options were... more

this is a very large camp it has 2 pool areas, library( with many award winning wildlife pictures), gas station, bank, gift shop, and 3 restaurants. it is a fairly quick drive from kruger gate. Service is on par with the rest of SA, spotty at times. we stayed in a safari tent, which was a little more rugged than... more

stayed here as part of three centre self drive safari. Bungalow basic but had everything we needed. Site itself great, with good restaurants and shops. This is the largest of the camps, but it was still nice and peaceful. Our bungalow was near the river. We had a fridge outside. Would stay here again. more

We booked a luxury riverside bungalow and stayed at the Skukuza camp for a week in September 2007. This was the perfect time of year to spot animals-we saw all of the 'Big Five' within 2 days! The foliage is lacking and the temperature is slightly cooler than average so spotting animals is far easier at this time of year.... more

If you wish to travel by yourself through the Krueger Parc, Skukuza is certainly a good choice to spend 1-3 nights. I recommend to do a tour through the Parc by yourself and then enter a private game lodge. It is a good combination to do a safari. Skukuza is one of the biggest public rest camps within the Krueger... more

My partner and I stayed one night at the Skukuza Restcamp, after a long drive from Olifants Camp. The restcamp was very nice and offered the most amenities of the other camps - although it feels like the largest camp as well. The rondavel bungalow was very comfortable, the gift shop/store is excellent, and the casual cafe had delicious hot... more

This camp is great, with much more in the way of restaurants, shops, and viewing platforms than most of the other camps in Kruger. It's also a great place to stop while on a long day's drive through the center of the Park, as even families of fruit bats "hang out" in the thatched-roof picnic areas. The main part of... more
