I just returned home from a 7 day stay at the Virginian Suites. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!!! The front desk staff is beyond rude, unaccomodating, and are not helpful. Our stay, which included 4 poeple, started with a simple request for extra towels and hangers. The hangers we could have done without, but we needed the extra towels... more

We stayed at the Virginian Suites for a family vacation with in-laws. The hotel was chosen because of the ranking my the consumer and the price. We read the reviews at that time and were pleased with them. About a month before our trip I starting checking out more reviews regarding the hotel and became a little leery of our... more

Above average for the price. Stores, restaurants, metro station are all nearby. Kitchen has no cooking utensils and no seasonings except salt and pepper. There is a delivery service that delivers restaurant food as well as groceries. more

Our group had thirteen rooms and I didn't hear any complaints. The rooms are huge! Our room had a bedroom with 2 beds, a large living room with pullout sofa, dining area, separate kitchen, and big walk-in closet. We had a mechanical problem and the staff quickly moved us to a new room. For the price this is hard to... more

The location of this hotel was great as you were just five minutes from Arlington Cemetry - you could hear the changing of the guard from our room! The room was massive - table and chairs, sofa and kitchen, dressing area and good sized bathroom. The hotel staff were helpful, although I am pretty sure they forgot to order us... more

If only they'd invest some money into this property, into its upkeep, we would gladly stay there again. The major problem with our room was the ancient mattress. The previous reviewer said that the furnishings seemed newer, so maybe they ARE in the process of renovating, but some of our furniture had seen better days.We agreed that our bed was... more

We chose to stay at the Virginian Suites based on a co-worker's recommendation and the special advertised on their web site, for Cherry Blossom Festival. The rate was pretty good, at an average of about $100/night over the 6 nights we stayed. We were checking in fairly quickly, even though we did not arrive until nearly 9:00 pm (due to... more

A suite! At only USD 130 a night! Four of us stayed, and made it well worth the money. The place was huge! It was afterall, a suite - bedroom with two double beds, two closets, dining area, kitchen (furnished, inc. dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave), TV area. WIFI provided; ethernet point available as backup as well. No complaints - everything... more

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff that quickly checked us in, which was great after a long day of walking. the staff were also very helpful in giving us directions around the area. if you ask, they provide a "walking" map with local restaraunts, attractions and the metro. there are a couple of restaraunts... more

Hotel is older but clean. Price was awesome for Washington DC. Booked on hotel's website - under $100 with free continental breakfast and parking - can't beat that. One block from Iwo Jima memorial. Staff was very accomodating - recommended a fantasic restaurant (Orient Cafe) within walking distance. Kitchen was well equipped although we had no need to use it.... more
