The camp is established on a regenerated 10 acre wild area with native trees, open grasslands and small water bodies. It is common to see jackals, jungle cats, hyenas, desert fox, hares etc. within the camp itself. One can sometimes see pugmarks of leopards, tiger and bears near the camp. Birdlife in the camp is abundant. The peace and tranquility at the camp is unlike any other place in Ranthambhore. more » « less

This was our second hotel in our Indian adventure and yes, it is as good as all the reviews suggest ! We arrived very late in the evening by car from Delhi due to our booked train being cancelled due to the demonstrations in the New Delhi / Agra / Sawai Madhopur area. The 9 hour car journey, though very... more

We picked the hotel because of the reviews here on tripadvisor. We stayed at Udaivilas and Amarvilas on the same trip but I was glad that we went with all of your recommendations for Khem Vilas in Ranthambore. We went in April and saw a total of six tigers, in fact we saw tigers on all three of our games... more

This Ranthambhore "jungle camp" is truly terrific, offering rooms, luxury tents, and cottages. We chose to book a room in the main building, which was the most cost-effective option and also proved to be the most convenient in terms of proximity to the dining area, extra bathrooms (key when both partners are suffering from gastrointestinal distress), etc. My wife corresponded... more

We spent two nights in June 2008 at Khem Villas. I can honestly say that Khem Villas is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The resort is owned and expertly run by Usha and her husband Goverdhan Rathore. The Rathore family is very famous in the region and were essentially the founders of Ranthambore National Park (Goverdhan's... more

Wonderful, there is nothing to fault about this place. Our Cottage was beautifully decorated and furnished and the outdoor bath was a blessing after a long and dirty safari. The service here is increible, everything you could possibly need has been thought about; early morning drinks, cold towels when you get back from a hot safari, sandwiches for the early... more

We loved Khem Villas. All in all a perfect experience! The grounds are lovely and beautifully kept at this intimate and very special place. The proprietors make it a point to make you welcome and perfectly comfortable from the moment you arrive until you leave and, when you leave, it is always with sadness that you cannot stay a bit... more

We are a couple that travelled independently for three weeks, primarily in Rajasthan. As I developed the travel plan, I thought it would be a good idea to escape the city environment after Delhi, Agra and Jaipur and was I right. We took the train from Jaipur (late) but were met by the Khem Villas driver. My wife was quite... more

It was planned as a trip of a lifetime and that was exactly what it turned out to be. Having held a long time ambition to see the tigers in their natural environment, as a single traveller it was also important to get the accomodation right and I certainly did that. After a random search online I checked Khem Villas... more

When reading all previous excellent reviews we decided to book a cottage straight away. From the moment we were met with a warm welcome at the station in Sawai it was the most wonderful experience. Khem is in a great location to explore Rnathambore and the beautiful cottage we stayed at was overlooking one of the small lakes on the... more
