Excellent hotel for resting up after a hard day's sight-seeing at Angkor Wat. Service faultless. Restaurant expensive but very good food and wine. Our room was a garden view room - spacious even with extra bed for my son, small balcony, large en-suite bathroom and jacuzzi bath! Pool ambience relaxing - lovely place to cool and chill. Nice open-air feel... more
The setting of the hotel was very tranquil and relaxing, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially their Assistant Manager who was most attentive. Their chaffeur had great knowledge of the area and took me around to all the wonderful sights. He offered excellent service while he was taking me around town. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. My wife and I stayed in La Residence d'Angkor for 6 nights in May. We loved it and were sad to leave. Across the board the staff were fantastic. Everybody from security guards, porters, grounds people, room cleaners, reception, bar, waiting and shop staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful and courteous. Unlike other places on our trip there was no expectation... more
My husband and I stayed at La Residence for three nights during April 2008. We were met at the airport by a very efficient chauffeur and whisked back to the hotel to be met by cold towels and a cold drink. Very welcoming. Check in was a breeze and our room was lovely. Solid wood everywhere and a lovely cool,... more
My husband and I had a fabulous stay at this hotel in March 2008. On a 2-week trip to Southeast Asia, this was our “splurge” hotel, and well worth it. The rooms were spacious and very well appointed. The huge bathtub was a welcome respite after days of trekking around temples. The service was impeccable. Massages were offered in the... more
I stayed at La Residence d'Angkor for five nights. If only I knew how great this hotel is, I would have planned to stay longer just to enjoy it more. If I had to review this hotel in one sentence I would say "it proves that sometimes smaller means better". La Residence d'Angkor is small, but the quality and the... more
We stayed here for four nights and in the main only have good things to say about it. The room was beautiful with a lovely large bathroom and lots of room for our luggage. The hotel was generally quiet with only about 50 rooms and generally felt calm and relaxing. Please see the hotel pictures as it really is beautiful... more
We stayed at La Residence D'Angkor for 3 nights of our honeymoon on the recommendation of a friend who had travelled trhough Camdodia a few years back. It is clear that Siem Reap is becomming more and more commericalized from the sight of about 20-30 hotels springing up on the airport road - however if you want a hotel with... more
This boutique hotel is beside the river and just a $1 tuktuk ride from the noisy central tourist area. After an evening on Pub Street we were very glad to be so near and yet so far from the centre. The hotel is elegant, charming and tranquil, with an upmarket restaurant serving delicious (but rich) food and hosting dance performances... more
