A brand new and very nice guesthouse ~~ however, it is not a "hotel" in the conventional sense. The Mekong View Hotel is in an excellent location ~~ away from the noisy part of town, but all the restaurants and shops are within comfortable walking distance. It is located across the street from the Mekong River and (I think) there... more

the mekong view hotel had only been open for 5 days when we stayed so there were a couple of small teething problems but all of this was offset by the wonderful staff and swedish owner.the room was large and finished to an excellent standard with great views of the mekong.there was a good size bathroom and small seperate wc... more
