We live in Indonesia, and we have been staying at many hotels in Java, Bali, Lombok... and especially in Jakarta. Normally, we are always satisfied by the quality & the services of hotels in Indonesia (even very very small hotels in East Java). But, this time, we have been very disappointed by Nikko hotel in Jakarta. The rooms are very... more

I recently visited Jakarta for business, and this hotel was booked for me by our local partner. I wasn't expecting much after reading the other reviews, and my expectations were met, such as they were. I stayed in a Club room, and it was about average for a 3 star hotel. The carpet was stained, the air conditioner was noisy... more

I'm an experienced traveller with high frequency of staying at 4-5 star hotels in Indonesia. I just couldn't understand how this dirty old hotel could get five star rating. The room was very dirty, lots of spots here and there (at the carpet, the bedsheet, the chair..), and there was a big leak in the toilet floor..!! But not my... more

From the hotel webpage, one could book a room as cheap as US$70 ++. However, this room is located in the old wing. The new wing a.k.a. Executive Tower is an entire different animal altogether. It has it's own lobby and check in area. The rate I paid was US$110 ++ inclusive of breakfast and a complimentary drink voucher. In... more

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during Oct'07. Great exterior but the rooms are really small and need to be renovated. The bathroom is very small, typical Japanese hotel. The location is good as it is just across Plaza X and walking distance to Grand Indonesia, new shopping mall in down town Jakarta. The breakfast is good as the... more

The hotel lobby was impressive. But the front desk staff seemed unprofessional. She copied my name from the passport incorrectly. The room was old and the bathroom need serious refurbishment. But at least the bed was really comfy and the shampoo was of good quality. I liked the breakfast the most, a variety of dimsum to choose from and local... more

First there were roaches in the room. However I must say that after a complaint to the front desk, they were apologetic and I was immediately upgraded to a bigger room. Next morning a fire broke out and an emergency evacuation was ordered. Enough said! more

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel just last week. We got a superior king in the main tower. I hate to write a negative review, but our experience with this room was so bad, that I almost feel the obligation to do so. Carpeting, bathroom and furniture were old, which was a shock because the lobby is very... more

We flew to jakarta for a wedding last week and stayed at Nikko hotel for 3 nights. The hotel has 2 towers: the main tower and the brand new nikko tower. The check-in staffs were efficient, despite someone cutting my queue to check-in, the staff politely rejected the person and attended to us. We had a luxury room at the... more
