I can truely recommend his hotel too anyone that is looking or good value for there money. Isis Corniche! What a place! It was a haven after the gruelling train trip from Cairo! The Isis is on the Nile - beautiful! Make sure you sit on the deck by the swimming pool just before sunset! My husband and I have stayed at the Isis on the recommendation of friends, previously we have stayed at the New Cateract. On arrival we found the reception staff very helpful and courteous, an important assest when arriving at a hotel new to ourselves. This hotel looks great from the street as does the lobby once you reach it several steps below. The rooms however need more than just a coat of paint. They are small, dingy, dirty rugs and curtains, a/c so loud we couldn't sleep. No view of the Nile though it's ON the Nile. Horrid little place. Would never go there... more

Two pool areas are a real plus for this hotel. The lobby is very spacious and the grounds are beautiful. Accomodations are a little bit tired and the location of the elevator can make for a very long walk to your room. more
