The Marriott in Amman is a nice hotel with many amenities, but it has one significant flaw... if you get the wrong room you'll struggle to get a good night's sleep. For me a decent night's sleep is one of the prime requirements when stopping in a hotel. There are two sides to the hotel one overlooks the pool area,... more

Firstly, entrance is a site you will remember. Very friendly staff and beautiful area all around. Your luggage is scanned as you enter (like in airport x-rays) for weapons etc. You know the Middle-East:) Rooms are quite spacious and very comfy and warming. View from the balconies are amazing. The hotel is not very close to many hot spots but... more

We stayed in the Marriott, Amman for 4 days when we arrived in Jordan. Our flight was delayed (Thank you president Bush!) for 4 hours, and we arrived at this hotel at 4 am. The staff were exceptionally helpful and did everything they could to get us into our room as soon as possible. This is a large hotel, used... more

Worst Marriott experience among the many I've had in the last few weeks and months. Noisy hotel-hosted private parties until midnight three of the last four nights. Daytime noise from exterior reconstruction (not mentioned on website). Can't watch the UEFA Cup game because it's only on in the Champions lounge with its standing room only crowd of chain smokers. Breakfast... more

we stayed here for 2 nights on a 2-week trip to the middle east with this being our first stop. a delightful hotel- what you'd expect from marriott in the hotel area of the city. there's therefore nowhere close by worth walking to- so got everywhere by taxi. good breakfast and a very comfortable bed. the staff are extremely helpful... more

We went to Jordan as tourists and the hotel was reserved for us by a friend living in Amman. We were extremely satisfied with friendly and helpful check-in, lobby staff, restaurant and housekeeping staff. The buffet breakfast, included in the price, had great food, was extensive and satisfied the individual wants of every member of our party. Other restaurant meals... more

I stayed at the hotel for a week for business purposes. The location is not brilliant, but as previous reviewers have said, there are plenty of taxis around and they are pretty cheap. Check-in was fine and the front desk staff always seemed to be friendly and willing to help. The room was a standard room at the hotel and... more

I booked through Marriott website using a special rate, which I am entitled to use. Upon arrival to the hotel, they informed me that they had changed my rate, due to upjusting of rates for 2008. I refused, and showed the confirmation with my original rate, and told the clerk that they are not allowed to change rates without notice.... more

I've stayed at this hotel four times. Sometimes for as short as 8 hours, and on my recent stay for three weeks. I've never had any problems with any of the rooms, the staff or the service. I highlly recommend it to my friends here in Baghdad who are looking for a solid value and exceptional service. It helps to... more
