Our family of three stayed at Akay Hotel for 5 weeks. Like many others have commented, the friendliness of the staff really stands out. Everyone was kind and very helpful. There are two sections to the hotel - old and new. I stayed in the new section, which is more expensive but the rooms are larger and have a fridge and shared balconies. Wonderful place. The hotel’s view is amazing; from its terrace you can see the mosque as well as San John’s cathedral. Akay is located a stone's throw from St.John's Basillica and directly next to Isa Bey Mosque. A walk downtown is not too far away either.
