It was a good value in a great location for walking around at night. Overall it is a dated place. The shower head would not point down just strait out which was both odd and funny. Nice staff. more

We booked the package from Airasia flying from Bangkok to Chiangmai. 2 persons cost around THB9,000 for 2 nights in Suriwongse. Nice Hotel, although it was a bit old (i think it hasnt been renovated for 10 years or something). Hotel Staffs specially receptionist speak good english so thats no problem for communication. Very good location (in front of the... more
Being our first trip to Thailand and Chiang Mai, I have to say we were very pleased with the location, being we were there to shop until we dropped. I liked the idea of being able to step right outside the hotel's doors, walk across the street and begin shopping at the night market. I could also take my wares... more
Hotel was clean. There was an exposed 220 power cable that was fixed as soon as we notified the hotel. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. Often service at breakfast was lacking. My wife had a hair color that left a mark on one of the hotel towels when she washed her hair the following day. At checkout we were... more
Stayed at the hotel and used it as a base for 13 nights. I found the room very spacious the staff were all exceptionaly friendly and helpfull, the choice of food at breakfast was good and of a good quality. Best location in Chiang Mai very close to night bazzar and entertainment areas. Only slight downsides were staff at breakfast... more
We booked and paid on the internet for two up graded single rooms at the advertised ROOM RATE. When we came to sign out we were charged EXTRA for vistors 400 bht per person per day. We considered we were being ripped off we called the tourist police as the lady hotel manager was very adgresive and rude towards us... more
Hotel is in great location for main night market and food market of Chiang Mai, with other streets, bars, restaurants and the river all easily walkable. The atmosphere around that area at night was fantastic. Hotel itself was spacious and clean. Stayed in a standard room and a superior room, there was little difference. The main drawback of the place... more
The hotel is in a great location basically in the middle of the Night Bazaar. We had a really nice stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. more
The Suriwongse was very nice. It is located right next to the night bazaar, and the rooms are nice and well kept. We paid 33$ per night on the high season (December), which is pretty high, but worth it. Thumbs up. more
this hotel has location in its favour as it is located very close to the night bazaar, however its is very tired and needs a good lick of paint to revive its tied appearance which is echoed throughout the hotel. The rooms are a fair size but the bathroom was very tatty, the TV didnt work and the air-con was noisy.... more
