the Aurum was a wonderful find. After staying on the Kaosan Road 3 times, we really wanted something with just a little bit more comfort and also off the beaten track. Just a 10 minute walk away from the Wat Poh and all its madness, the Aurum is hidden down a little side street where it's quiet. The rooms were... more

My girlfriend and I just recently spent 3 wonderful nights in this little hotel. Its location is perfect for sightseeing. Many of Bangkok's top attractions are within walking distance. The room was very clean and well taken care of. The staff is very friendly and will help you in anyway they can. They will even get you local prices for... more

I found this small boutique hotel by accident about a year ago and have stayed there now on two occasions. It is located in my favorite area of Bangkok for walking, near some of the oldest and most interesting parts of the city. It's also within walking distance (or short taxi ride) to some of Bangkok's best small local restaurants.... more

A wonderful, small and friendly place. Immaculately clean. Great location for the old city - Grand Palace and Wat Po. I was doing a massage course at Wat Po - it took me 90 seconds to get there from the hotel! Very quiet at night - which I loved - but don't go there if you want night life! more

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and the staff were very helpful and charming. I would recommend visiting The Deck restaurant which is nearby and has a fabulous view across the river to Wat Arun which looks good at night even in the rain! It is also close to the Grand Palace and easy to walk to. Ignore... more

I loved this hotel. I stayed in the third floor front room and the views are sensational! I watched the boats do their busy thing and laid back on the most comfortable bed on planet earth. I loved the TV with the movies (but think they should change the movies more often). I loved clean bathroom. I took a tubby... more

We had a pleasant stay at the Aurum, staff very kind, professional and helpful, hotel room very clean and sheets so soft - we slept like logs. Breakfast served at an outdoor space with some river view if placed correctly. Style very european both building and indoor interior, which doesn't give you a very Bangkok vibe, but we liked the... more

To get to the Hotel from the airport should not be more than 450 THB. When you get to the taxi stand, you HAVE TO ask, how much the trip will be for the first time they will say more than it should be. In our case they tried with 600 THB. This was my second visit to Bangkok in... more

We stayed at the Aurum hotel for 2 nights in early March. We had booked for a room with full river view and were looking forward to stay in this hotel. However, we were very disappointed upon our arrival to realize that the river view was in fact a very restricted one, as there was a big brown building sitting... more

My boyfriend and I stayed in a riverview room for 3 nights at the beginning & end of our holiday in Thailand. Our flight was delayed by 14 hrs so we ended up arriving exhausted at 6:30am. Because of this we missed the allotted breakfast time of 7-10am but when we did surface they were happy to give us breakfast... more
