Have now stayed at the Ascott 3 times and would generally say its my preferred choice in Bangkok. I used to stay regularly at the Dusit Thani but after having tried the Ascott I am a convert! Lots of space - we ususally take a 2 bedroom executive which offers 2 large master bedrooms, both en-suite, and a massive open... more

For a special occasion, this hotel did not disappoint. In typical 5 star style, the lobby was impressive with a huge water feature. Our room was spacious with a separate living space and contained pretty much every thing we expected. We enjoyed much of the hot afternoons by the hotel pool sipping cocktails and just relaxing and fortunately there were... more

To escape work I checked into the Ascott for 2 weeks of relaxation in March. I am sorry 2Coast2 had a bad experience but I feel compelled to offer my comments. As to soap, the full range of L'occitane was replaced daily. Very impressive. I had ordered a special newspaper for my stay and it was handled before my arrival... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Ascott. It's a home-like alternative to a hotel, but it lacks some of the personal attention we're accustomed to in Bangkok. The Ascott seems intent on "nickel and diming" its guests. Internet access is costly and not great. You have to beg for towels and soap. Bangkok is known for its hospitality, so those... more

My second stay here was one week in 2 bedroom dlx. Package included daily bf for two. The room as expected very comfortable with two nice sized bedroom and bath with rainshower. Location is fine - short walk to BTS or taxi always easy to get. The pool area is very nice with sun exposure in daytime. Cascade Health Club... more

As a regular visitor to Bangkok, we've stayed at a few Apartment Hotels - usually one of the CenterPoint chain. Our Thai friends recommended Ascott Sathorn Reception / Check In. Impressive lobby and an efficient service from the moment the taxi door opened to our suitcases arriving in the room. The Room. Even by Bangkok standards our premium one bedroom... more

We booked a Bangkok Getaway 1 bedroom premier for 3 nights and it was perfect. Arriving at Bangkok Airport and there was someone waiting for us to bring us to our limousine. Cold bottled water in the car. We arrived in the morning at the hotel and our room wasnt' ready yet so the offered us breakfast. After half an... more

What bliss. A real first-class hotel which holds all it promises on the website and more. We booked a studio apartment with an extra bed for our daughter and it was beautiful, with a top view over Bangkok. The fridge was stocked with complimentary milk, soft drinks, juice and there was a fruit basket and a basket full of cookies,... more

My group of five spent three nights there from 20-23 Dec 2007. Three of us had a two-bedroom apartment while the other two a one-bedroom unit. The Ascott Sathorn is a good change from the claustrophobic, bed+desk+bathroom setup of a typical hotel room. I strongly recommend it for families and groups - you get a living room and open kitchenette... more
