Stayed here in May, liked the property and WOW factor so decided to return for another week the end of July. (Had been upgraded to a junior suite due to platinum status, given choice of handmade soaps on checkin, nice balcony to enjoy river view, consistent service all around). This time a little different. Was assigned an "upgraded" standard room... more

Nice location for the hotel. A little away from the city but a river boat ride and the sky train gets you there really quickly. The hotel was very clean although the service of the staff did vary quite considerably. They had opened a new Italian restaurant while we were there and we ate there 3 times. The first 2... more

This was our second stay at the Marriott Resort and Spa in Bangkok. We completely enjoyed our first stay and thus returned again. We had a junior suite and my sister and my 16 year old niece had a standard room. We both had club level privileges. I think the key to really enjoying this hotel, especially if you are... more

I stayed at the Marriott for four nights with my husband and 7 yo son. We had booked a Junior Suite through a popular website. A word of caution, as with previous reviewers, we also had problems on check-in verifying the actual inclusions that go with this room type. Despite the fact that Marriott's website states that the Junior Suite... more

Set among tropical plants, on the bank of Chaopraya River, this hotel is far from typical resort-like mass venue. Staying there, one actually feels very secluded and most private. Nicely appointed bedrooms with hardwood floors, very comfy bed, decent size marble bathroom with huge tub. Smart box next to your bed controlling air-con, alarm clock and lights makes it even... more

Stayed with my husband at this hotel for 7 nights in July 2008. There are some things about this hotel which we really liked - the boat service to the more central area around Taksin was efficient and we had breakfast every morning in Numero Uno, the hotel's all-day cafe. The food there is very good and the staff efficient... more

We loved this hotel, you could not fault the rooms. We have stayed here twice and the first time we were asked on arrival if we wanted to upgrade our room, and we did. The second time we visited we had the standard room. There is not enough difference between these rooms to bother upgrading. The pool is great, loads... more

Not much to say about this hotel, it's a typical Marriott, comfortable and pricey. However, one thing to note is that this hotel is miles out of the way of the interesting areas of Bangkok and is remotely located on the 'wrong' side of the river. The hotel shuttle boat is fine but takes almost 30 minutes to reach the... more

stayed here for 4 days and thought the hotel was o.k. but nothing special. Our room was a deluxe river view with balcony....the view was not so good as trees directly in front of our window (2 floor) so could not really see the river! the room was very clean with a good comfortable bed. we had a meal in... more

My wife and I, together with some friends, spent 4 nights at the hotel in late June. I was a bit apprehensive given recent reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is, of course, further down the river than most attractions, but Bangkok is so spread out you'll be spending a lot of time in taxis and boats already, and... more
