The main thing that stands out at the Intercontinental is the staff - they were excellent. The rooms were very big, clean and a huge supply of bottled water. The location is very good - directly opposite the main sky train station and very close to some of the bigger shopping centres. The food and drinks were very good -... more

Seriously, wow. this hotel is damn amazing. From the time i stepped foot into the hotel i was blown away by the amazingly friendly and efficient service. The staff are very professional but friendly as well. I have never been treated as if i was royalty at the hotel. Even though i booked the usual normal rooms, I am sure... more

We stayed at this hotel for two nights after our honeymoon in koh samui. The service was excellent, room was great and very spacious. As a critical traveller, i could not find a fault in this hotel no matter how hard i looked. more

We stayed here twice this month, at the beginning and end of our time in SEA. The hotel's location is just excellent, the skytrain is just at the hotel door, as is the skywalk that connects the hotel to a moltitude of shopping malls (Erawan, Central World, Siam Paragon). The hotel is also directly connected to Gaysorn Mall. We stayed... more

I spent 3 nights at the Intercontinental Bangkok after a 3 week long backpacking trip through Thailand and Laos. The hotel didn't bat an eye when I showed up with a filthy backpack and looking disheveled after staying in guesthouses for the earlier 3 weeks. A true test of a hotel is that they treated me like royalty even though... more

I stayed at this hotel while on a business trip to Bangkok. You notice the size of the lobby as soon as you walk in - five star impression for sure, and expect five star prices. The hotel staff was very friendly everywhere. As a Priority Club member, I was upgraded to a nicer room. It was indeed very nice,... more

The intercontinental is a very nice hotel, but I wouldn't say it was twice as nice as the Grand Millenium, which cost about half as much. Location is probably bit better with the huge shopping malls very nearby if you want that. Rooms are good, large, very nice bathrooms, nice little gadget that will play your ipod through the TV... more

My husband and I traveled to Bangkok on a last-minute trip and chose the InterCon based on its location. The reviews seemed as though it were more suited for business travelers but that is far from the case. This hotel is located in one of the absolute best spots for touring the city. The entrance to the SkyTrain is literally... more

During my stay at the Intercontinental, we were given a large number of gifts by our friends. Amongst them were a large bunch of silk flowers that were about 5 feet in length as well as a flower vase. We spoke to the bell hop who brought our luggage to our room and asked whether he could help us get... more

We stayed at the Intercontinental in March 2007 and could not fault anything. The hotel is perfectly situated right next to the Skytrain and close to the shopping centres. Our room was very spacious with everything you required. The breakfast was superb with masses of choice. The staff were always courteous and helpful. We made use of the rooftop pool... more
