This was a great hotel, just not really our type of place. The location is very remote and isolated. Many of the guests were interested in birding, foliage, short hikes, which we were not, so I question why we chose this hotel in the first place (I guess because I had heard it was the best in Pokhara). Rooms were... more

Having spent two days in Kathmandu, Tiger Mountain was the perfect offering. The scenery is breathtaking and the service in the lodge is faultless. The rooms are fairly basic and simple but this is always the case with hotels in Nepal. Nevertheless they are clean and complete with all amenities required. The food is fantastic and the little touches including... more

Stayed at the Lodge for 4 nights, and would have stayed for 4 weeks! Great food, service and accommodation. But the very best part of this lodge is the location. Had breakfast every morning out on the verandah, with the Himalayas as a glorious backdrop. The walks around the hills were very scenic, and range from fairly easy to quite... more

3 nights here and after the craziness of Kathmandu it was a lovely retreat. Built on a hill over a lovely valley and facing towards the Anapurnas, each room is the upstairs or downstairs of a cottage overlooking the valley. Nice rooms, excellent service, great food (Nepalese for lunch and English for dinner), breakfast on the terrace weather permitting. Walks,... more

Pokhara was the last of the Tiger Mountain properties we stayed in on our visit to Nepal and didn't disappoint in the standards that we had come to expect. The road from Pokhara to the lodge has now been improved, still not a completely smooth run but certainly nothing like what we had been expecting after reading the other reviews.... more

Tiger Mountain Lodge is high on a hill above Pokhara and has fantastic views of the Annapurnas. We sat on our balcony at about 4,000 ft. enjoying our early morning tea (part of the service) looking at Macchapuchre at 26,000 ft. only 15 miles or so away. Spectacular. Rooms were simply designed but large, well furnished and spotless with a... more

We stayed here in a small group in April for 5 nights, which included a 3-night "extension" to a tour holiday. Previously we had stayed at and greatly enjoyed Tiger Tops Tented Camp and Tharu Lodge, all under the same ownership. Overall, despite its many excellent features and reviews (and overall our stay here was a worthwhile experience), this was... more

One of the few places I hope to go back to, even though there is still a lot of the world I want to see. A beautiful setting with stunning views. The most attentive staff you could wish for and the best food I have ever had. The individual lodges in which you stay are well appointed, clean and comfortable.... more

This lodge is not to be confused with a luxury hotel; it is not a luxury hotel. This is, however, the most luxurious accommodation one will find in Pokhara and the quality compares favorably with some of the best lodges in the world. The significant difference between this property and all the other establishments competing for your business in Pokhara... more

In Defense of Tuna We actually do not use tuna to save money but because we are not satisfied with the quality or hygeine of local fresh fish (which is also cheaper....) Fee for Microlight Flight We do not charge $52 extra - our charge is $15 per person for transport and booking the flight. all our rates are transparent...

While we were in Nepal recently, there was a State of Emergency. This meant we were forced to spend more time than originally planned in the hotel and its immediate vicinity, because there was a risk of road blocks. (An inconvenience to tourists rather than a threat to their safety). The Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge is on a ridge outside... more
