Trust me when I say that I am well travelled and in my life I have stayed in the most exclusive hotels around the world, but don’t make that mistake if your intending to visit Marrakesh as you’ll probably come back saying it was OK…but not the best! WOW! We had such an wonderful time in Riad Monika. The location of the riad could not be better, in the heart of the medina, yet not in a noisy place, close to all major monuments within the medina. I made frienda with all of the maids, so every day we would hang out and I would go help the maids, talk to them, and just hang out! We also made friends with Monika! If anyone ever wants to stay in the old part of Marrakech you should stay there! We had a great time! I only have great... more

We booked after doing an internet search and thought the photos of the Riad looked nice. But it wasn't just nice it was superb. It is owned by a retired French couple who live at the Riad but run by a local Moroccan manager. The manager speaks English very well but the owners have no real english.
