My fiance and I stayed there in July & found the service great and the grounds well maintained. The swim up bar was fun as other area hotels don't have one. My husband & I just returned from a week vacation in Ambergris Caye, Belize. We stayed at Belizean Shores after finding it on the internet. The prices were reasonable & the pool w/ swim up bar was very nice!! The staff was very helpful with the guests & in arranging excursions. BEAUTIFUL PLACE!! more

the pool at the hotel is really fun, with a swim-up bar, and the drinks are actually good, and not a rip-off. there are lounge chairs in the water, and the water temperature is perfect. the hot tub is also good. Conveniently there is an office that books tours and activities for you on site, with very good tour guides... more

Well our good vacation luck didn't hold for us on this trip. We encountered the first tropical storm of the season (very untypical this early) and were pretty much rained in for 4 days...None of the tours were going out due to the water conditions and flying conditions and they are certainly not at fault for that. If you are looking for a place to kick back and relax this is it. The pool is the best one we saw on Ambergris and the bartenders blended some fantastic drinks. My stay at the Belizean shores was nice. The 3 stars is an accurate judgement; nothing to write home about, but good if you're looking to get away for a 'nice' vacation. You get a large one bedroom condo with a pull out couch. Ours was very basic, some have flat screens with DVD players and more elaborate setups. The pool is by far the best pool I have ever been to.
