Stayed at the hotel over the weekend with my wife. We were greatly surprized with the decor and cleaniness of the hotel. The bed was soft and comfortable. We had a great view from the window and it was a short walk to all the attractions. Would reccomend it to anyone. more

booked through Quickbook.com. Excellent value and location is idea for a DC sightseeing trip. Close to all. Room was very clean and comfortable (got upgraded to a suite with the view of the circle!) and loved the spiral shower with tub. Lovely. Bed is very comfy. Hotel staff was good given the newness of the place and that restaurant is... more

The Donovan House is in a great location - within walking distance of 3 metro stops serving 4 lines. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The rooms, while not huge, are cleverly designed and very comfortable. The bed was amazing. Small, but adequately equipped gym, will all the equipment working! I left some clothing behind; they went above and... more

If you're generation Y or a hip European then you will like Donovan house. As for me - I'll stick with the more traditional hotels. I will admit; the staff was friendly, the room was clean, the location is good and the price was right. That's where it ends. I had one of the smallest rooms in the hotel -... more

They are building their new restaurant (do not have one on site yet). The guests on the lower level complained and many actually moved elsewhere. We were on a top floor and had no problems. Renovation to be completed at end of next year. The staff was excellent. The location was fine; but preferred the location of the Hyatt near... more

We stayed at the Donovan House for the weekend in the studio king room. It was a pleasant stay but when you call the front desk for ice don't hold your breath. Yes, ice requests are delivered by the housekeeping staff. On both nights, I called 3 times and never got a cube. Gave up and hunted down the ice... more

The hotel is modern and is quite new. When I arrived, the hotel was undergoing some construction on the main floor (restaurant & lobby) and was quite noisy, but my room on an upper floor was not impacted. The room has a unique shower that may be problematic for customers with balance or mobility challenges. The floor is slippery when... more

The Donovan House was great. It has a modern, hip feel but not so much that as a fortysomething tourist I felt weird or out of place. The room was comfortable. I liked the innovative shower, though the water pressure was a little weak on the 10th floor. It seems they have provided anything a person could desire to enjoy... more

I stayed 4 nights at the Donovan House this week. The hotel just recently opened after renovations. The rooms are average size but have very nice furniture & beds. The spiral shower is ummm different but still fine. The location is very convenient to many things in downtown DC. The main thing that sets the Donovan House apart is their... more

Location, location, location. Excellent value for your money and can we talk about those rooms. Clean lines, calming colours makes for excellent rest and relaxation. Location, close enough to walk to everything but also within easy reach of DC's Metro system. Roof top pool with breath taking views, you've got to experience this one for yourself. Staff that are out... more
