I have just completed a successful 4 night stay at the Palomar hotel - I hope this review helps if you are looking to stay here. ** Is it far from the DC action? Hotel to White House is a 15-20 minute stroll. The walk is interesting in itself especially if you vary the route each time. I never once... more

I booked a last minute stay at the Hotel Palomar from August 22-24, and was very happy with my choice. I was traveling with a friend as well as a dog, and one of the main reasons in choosing the Hotel Palomar was their pet-friendly policy. Many guests that weekend had dogs with them but we didn't run into any... more

Hello Jmo88, Thank you for staying with us. I am glad you were able to bring your furry friend with you. As you have experienced we are a pet friendly hotel. I am also happy that you enjoyed the coffee in the morning and the hosted evening wine reception. I apologize that the front desk staff were not as attentive...

We spent three nights at the Palomar in August 2008. I decided to book it after reading the rave reviews on trip advisor. It's an ok hotel but not as good as some made out in the reviews. It was expensive, they charged me approx £75.00 for 3 nights parking and £15 for a beer and white wine and soda... more

Our valet parking is competitively priced even lower than other hotels in our area. Our oversized rooms all have custom made Sealy mattress in every guest room to insure a great night’s sleep. Our hotel is different than your normal cookie cutter hotel but our outstanding service is why many of our guests return for another stay. Palomar Hotel General...

The Palomar lived up to its website photos and descriptions. It was clean, comfortable, "current" as far as its contemporary, somewhat hip atmospere/colors/decor...sophisticated w/out being stuffy. Rooms were very comfortable and amenities like flatscreen tvs, throws on the very comfortable beds, lighting, bathroom and L'Occitane toiletries were all touches that were appreciated. I was traveling with my 3 children (6,10,12)... more

I've stayed here several times for business travel; I wish I could just move in. The rooms are beautiful, the beds and linens amazingly comfortable, the minibar is chock full of high end snacks and spirits, the staff are beyond friendly, there's free wine at happy hour, the bath products are wonderful (usually L'Occitane or Aveda), lots of on-demand movies,... more

My wife and I stayed here for a one-night getaway to celebrate her birthday and we were very happy. We booked the king bed jacuzzi room and thought it was very pretty. The decor, while very modern, is tasteful and the bathroom is gorgeous. Our room had a flat screen LG television -- the exact model I have at home... more

I stayed at other Kimpton Hotels before and that's why I booked the Palomar directly on the Kimpton website. A friend of mine who stayed there before recommended it to me as well. 2 weeks before my trip I got an email from Kimpton that offered upgrades and so I got a one bed room suite with separate living room... more

We love the Allegro in Chicago so when we decided to go to DC we booked at the Palomar since it is also a Kimpton hotel. We were delighted by the overall class of the hotel and the upscale modern decor. The hotel is a short walk to embassy row and many fun restaurants and cafes on Dupont Circle. We... more
