I stayed at the Morrison-Clark in May with my mom. I personally abhor large hotels and prefer charm and history. Both are evident at this hotel. The staff is genuinely courteous and helpful. I'm a native Washingtonian but have never heard of or seen this hotel before. It was a nice change from other hotels I've stayed in with a quiet court yard, fire place in the lobby area and over all quiet area. It seems like it can be a Bed-n-Breakfast but its not. more

I got a very reasonable rate directly from the hotel's website and a simple upgrade request at the front-desk at check in scored us a room with a fun view and little balcony. Pictures do not show the dirty and cramped rooms, the unavailible staff, and the gang infested neighborhood. I checked in on Saturday at 6, I felt very unsafe, I checked out at 7 am... I went home.
