Got the Helix via priceline over memorial day weekend 2008 for $70 a night. That got us two beds overlooking the patio. Room was nice and clean but AC didnt work very well. I was fully expecting to love the Helix, but it wasn't up to the usual Kimpton boutique standard and that for me is set by the Triton in San Francisco. Huge, comfortable rooms with big comfortable beds, good lighting, CHAC and nice Aveda products in the BR. Over the top decor is either kitschy or cheesy, depending on your perspective.
