Visited in Sept 2007 and planning to go back soon. Fantastic hotel, great facilities, clean (always important), really friendly and helpful staff. Nice spacious feeling, good breakfasts and the location was lovely, don't worry about being out of the centre...the bus stop was just up the road and it was cheap, easy and frequent so you got the best of... more

This hotel is worth all the good reviews and I am posting to deliver another. I've been to Budapest before but I had a hostel for the same price as here that was no where near as good. It has all the things I look for. Cleanliness, hospitality etc. But this place has more. It has a resort feel up... more

My wife, Elizabeth and I booked a 3 night stay at the Hotel Normafa for later this week. All of our arrangements were made with Berta Molnar. Berta arranged everything we needed at the hotel as well as taxis to and from the hydrofoil terminal with great efficiency and courtesy. Sadly, a few days before we were due to travel,... more

We stayed a week during Grand Prix week and had a brilliant time. The hotel is delightfully situated in the Buda Hills, which in the heat of summer is a godsend, as Budapest itself was considerably hotter - this way you get the best of both worlds. A trip to the city to sightsee in the morning, knowing that a... more

As others have said this is a great hotel. We stayed there in August 2008 for 4 nights and I wish we had booked in for longer. We took advantage of the massages, both the children's and adults' pools, as well as the sandy playground. It felt like we were staying at a beach resort (minus the ocean) and the... more

Stayed for 9 nites late July. Family with 2 kids. €120/nite. Overall I thought the hotel was nice. There have been many glowing reviews written about this hotel... so my expectations were very high, and to be honest I was a little disappointed. I felt it was a bit expensive for what we got - in fact it was more... more

I've been visiting Hungary for nearly twenty years and I'm really pleased to see that, at least in this hotel, quality, amenities and reasonable value have arrived. Recently refurbished, the Normalfa is staffed by friendly staff (including at least one good English speaker at all times, with everyone else having at least restaurant English at their command) and has a... more

This hotel was a wonderful place to stay! My son and I enjoyed all the sports facilities and had one of the best massages ever. The day we left we had to catch an early train and the kitchen staff packed us two large bags of breakfast food to enjoy on our trip. My son loved checking his e-mail nightly.... more

Just back from a short stay in Budapest on way to Serbia. Travelling with a 1 year old and this hotel was a great start to our adventure.Arrived early and room not ready but straight away offered a room in the mean time. Some of the rooms on the 2nd floor have small high windows which I didn't like so... more

We stayed at the Hotel Normafa in Budapest for three nights before beginning a three-week "volunteer vacation" in Romania. We chose the hotel based on various positive online reviews. It was the right choice. While it is away from the city center, transportation is efficient. A bus, which originates within sight of the hotel, ambles down the Buda hills into... more
