I wanted to like this hotel, but as others have pointed out there are apparently ongoing (as in all summer long) AC problems. Budapest is too warm in the summer to not have air conditioning. The streets that border the hotel are extemely noisy so you can't have your windows open. For the price, this is just not worth the... more

We visited during the build up to Red Bull Air Race which takes place on the river in front of the parliament building. This is a huge event which attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators on the final day. To cut a long story short, we had been very active travelling over the previous few days and we had splashed... more

This is the first time, EVER, I review an hotel on a internet site. I spent hours checking for ideas on trip advisor, and we decided on art otel. We were first a group of eight, that turned out to be a group of nine, after reservation and payment were made. We contacted the hotel, and the staff was 5stars,... more

We spent five nights at the art'otel in July and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest. The location, overlooking the Danube on the Buda side, was perfect...just a short scenic walk to nearly every part of the city you'd want to see. The building itself is sleek and modern, and the rooms are very comfortable. The customer service... more

I really really recommend this hotel. We returned to the Art'otel after previously visiting in July 07. The receptionist recognised us and gave us an upgrade on one of our rooms. We ended up with one room with Castle View and one with River view and small balcony. The standard rooms with Castle views appear to be bigger in general... more

The plus points are the location, the bedrooms and the bathrooms all of which are clearly 4* standard. However, the breakfast and internet are on top of the high daily rate, wi-fi is only available downstairs, the small "business centre" shuts at 10pm and having only one person working in a busy bar hardly constitutes service. Overall a dissapointment and... more

Lovely modern hotel in a very central location right on the banks of the Danube. Our room was directly opposite the houses of parliament which was a wonderful view. Rooms spacious and very warm even in the cold of February. Excellent storage space and huge wardrobes. Lovely bathroom with power shower and cosmetic mirror. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast... more

This hotel is really central to everthing you need. Chain Bridge for walking, Metro, Trams, Buses 5 minutes away. 10 mins walk to Fishermans Bastion & Castle although lots of steps for fitter people, funicular 5-6 mins walk if not. Staff are polite food is very nice, we were given a free upgrade to Parliament view as our arranged taxi... more

This is surely the hotel to stay at in Budapest. It is situated in Buda near the Chain Bridge and the funicular to the Old Town. It is lively in the evening with restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is incredibly furnished in a modern fashion with as the name suggests. It is worth paying for a Danube view, looking... more
