Recently we had the privilege of traveling to Prague. We arrived by train from Budapest which was a 7 hour ride through Slovak Republic. Talk about taking a train back in time. Looking out the window in the Slovak Republic we thought we were back in the 1960s when the Slovak Republic was an extension of the old USSR. Fortunately,... more
In our first visit to Prague, we stayed at the Imperial and had the perfect stay. The hotel offered all the modern conveniences including free internet and use of computers in the lobby, in a charming and warm environment. The staff was great, always helpful and the location was very accesible to exploring old Prague. We highly recommend this hotel. more
Location: The Hotel Imperial is perfectly situated for anyone who wants to explore the wonderfull city of Prag. It is very close to the train station but still in a beautiful street, full with Hotels, Shops (The Palladium Shopping Mal 200m away, check it out) and Restaurants. It takes you only 2 or 3 minutes of walking to start exploring... more
Got the Imperial via Lastminute.com's 'Secret Hotel" deal. The location is good - near to the old town, shopping and also near to all the transport if you want to travel out of Prague too. The room was rather small, but clean and comfortable with all the amenities you would want. Breakfast buffet was ample and the service efficient and... more
This is an excellent hotel with an ideal location for walking to all the sights of Prague. Get the Cedaz minibus from outside the arrival hall at the airport. It costs 120 Kc's per person and terminates 200yds from the hotel (which is good for the return to the airport). The hotel staff were welcoming and polite throughout our long... more
As a frequent vistor to Prague I have stayed at many 4-5 *hotels in this wonderful city and wanted to write a quick account about my recent stay. Hotel enjoys a great location, a short walk from all the main sights with many bars and restaurants a stone throw away. What is important for me when staying in any hotel... more
We have just returned from a lovely weekend in Prague, staying in the Imperial Hotel which is a beautiful example of what a wonderfully restored Hotel should look like. The Art Nouveau interior and entrance were stunning and we loved the Art Deco room which combined elegance with pure comfort. It was difficult to extract ourselves from this in the morning.However... more
A great hotel, excellent rooms, friendly and helpful staff. The Cafe, where we had breakfast, is a marvellous example of Art Deco styling. The Cafe is open to the public during the day. The Imperial is also in a great location, near the railway station and only a few mintues walk to the old town square. A brand new shopping... more
