This was our first port of call in NZ and the hosts, Les & Cis were brilliant. They offered us tips on what to do, helped in getting a hire car, and booked our Jet Boat trip as well. We had 3 nights here. The accommodation was clean and comfortable - we didn't have any problem with bugs as reported elsewehere - not sure what that's all about. Marvellous views from our room. When we checked into the Balmoral lodge, we were greeted by Les (Cis was out of town at the time). He helped us with our bags, and was very informative about booking trips and where to park in town. We enjoyed a great conversation with him as well the next morning at breakfast; we learned alot about NZ current events.... more

To pretty in pink, Your review does not paint an accurate picture of Balmoral Lodge in fact it is decidedly immature. Yes we do have Lovely cats 2 in fact which we advertse on the website and we discourage people who are allergic to cats not to book thier stay with us, but some people cannot read. Summertime in Queenstown...

Our stay at Balmoral Lodge was superb. We stayed in the two bedroom accomodation which was self-contained; it was clean and spacious with brand-new ensuite bathrooms.
