Clean, comfortable centrally located hotel, friendly staff. Good room facilities including kitchen area, complimentary continental breakfast pack and washer and dryer in the room. I booked this property because of its qualmark rating. It lists itself as a hotel and it was qualmarked as a motel which is an entirely different rating system. The carpets in the hallway were spotted. The noise level in the property was very bad. You could hear every door that closed. It took 2 hours to defrost the freezer.... more

The best thing about this hotel is it's proximity to good shopping and great restaurants and nightlife. Lambton Quay is an excellent source for New Zealand fashion with many small boutiques in the mid to high dollar range. We were not thrilled during our stay. The staff were very nice and helpful, but they couldn't solve the big problems with the hotel.
