My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a romantic weekend and it did not disappoint. This is a stunning hotel in a great part of the CBD. The staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the view is second to none. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Melbourne. more

This hotel is definitely first class all the way. The room was wonderful, the bed as always with sofitel is uber comfortable. The views were unbelievable and the food and service were excellent. Will definitely stay here again when visiting melbourne. Having an advantage plus card is a must with all meals at half price and great room rates. we... more

I booked a club room for my partner's birthday as a surprise for his birthday and I just have to say that it really was the biggest waste of money ever! The service at the Sofitel was disappointing and disgusting I had booked for lunch in Cafe La on the Saturday afternoon, we had to repeat our order a few... more

Stayed for two nights at the Sofitel. It was the first time at the hotel. The room was clean and all facilities worked. The views over the city at night were quite spectacular. Would have preferred a separate shower than one over the bath. I had a room on the 39th floor. The bars and restaurants are on the 35th... more

The luxury room with club lounge access more than met expectations. View from the room on the 48th floor was spectacular. The room was a good size, and the beds do live up to their reputation - very comfortable. Only quibbles being that the hanging space was very limited, and I had to ask housekeeping to mop up the bathroom... more

Fantastic Hotel in many ways - Except that it carters for new born mothers and their babies from local hospitals - a fine gesture indeed, BUT don't expect a sound nights sleep as the new born babies crying was heard all night on two nights on a recent stay by me and my family. Don't expect value for money at... more

Firstly, a disclaimer - I only paid for 1 night myself out of a 4 night stay (my employer paid the rest). I loved my stay in this hotel, and found almost every aspect of my room exceptional. The only cons are that there is no separate shower, which is a minor inconvenience but does set it apart in Aus,... more

5 star but the elevators actually took up to 5 minutes (timed)to arrive at your floor. No ice in room or floor;therefore the room service team also had to wait for the elevators.Small thing but very disappointing .Great restaurant;shower;bed;view and location more

Stayed at the Sofitel for 6 nights this week and was not blown away by the experience. I've stayed in Sydney and Brisbane Sofitel but Melbourne wasn't as good. Food from room service is poor (pizza which may have been McCain - inedible) and the staff are not overly helpful or attentive. On checking out and settling my bill I... more

What a treat to stay here. High tech room system was a joy to use, from the mood lighting to the plasma tv. The bed is amazing. The only way this hotel could improve is to have an individual shower instead of the shower over the bath. Service was fantastic and the location is very good. You'll enjoy your stay... more
