A charming hotel to rest your weary soles. However there is not even a sole AC or fan in the bedrooms and in the summer this can make it quite hot in the rooms (necessitating opening windows - not ideal in a ground floor room next to the road). Super little hotel just outside the walled town of Volterra (under 5 min walk to centre). Good comfortable accommodation offered at reasonable prices. Excellent service from good and dedicated staff. Small bar and lounge available for the weary traveller plus play room for young children. Breakfast, included in room rate, exceeded expectations and sets one up for a good days... more

Hotel Sole took very good care of us. Francesco was our contact and he made sure that we were comfortable, set dinner reservations for us, and generally was very attentive and kind. Rooms are modern and clean with wonderful big, thick towels. Beds are comfortable and we had a big window. Breakfast comes with the room and was exceptional--great cappuchinos... more
