i had a single room without window: the room & the bathroom was small but clean and silent. The window missed me but if you don t pretend a lot it s ok. The WI FI internet was available 24/24 FOR FREE. Breakfast (self service) was ok. The staff ok. I can freely reccomend this hotel. Surely, if you are... more

Having seen some of the reviews on here I was seriously thinking of changing the hotel. However i stuck with my inside single room and arrived with a bit of fear the room was small, but well laid out so there was clean and made effective use of space. I would not want to be based here for a fortnight... more

Alexandra Hotel is now upgraded. Renovating work is completed and the hotel is better than ever, even as the rates still are very attractive. We do apologize for inconvenices caused during the process. We are welcoming new and old customers back to us! /Hotel Management Team.

I travel a lot, and I am usually on a tight budget, so I spend a fair amount of time in lower-priced hotels. Even by discount hotel standard, Alexandra hotel sucks. My room was awful--there is absolutely no ventilation, so the room is incredibly stuffy. In fact, the only way to cool the room is to run a cold shower.... more

Does our hotel really suck? Or is it a matter of disappointment when booking the very cheapest room in Stockholm? It is very much possible to book a regular room WITH windows in it. We are well aware that we do get a few disappointed guests in our hotel due to the single budget bedrooms without windows. However, we are...

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in on business, and the customer service is absolutely disgrace, the hotel staff were a little stiff, really, not too helpful or nice. The rooms too small, with no windows or air conditioning, and the toilet are bare. To make matters worse, I left my laptop ac charger, so... more

I stayed at the hotel for 2 night. It was quite area and not far from the underground. But the bad thing is that I had a room with no window. It wouldnt be so bad if i had an aircondition but they couldnt even provide us with a far and recomend to open the door a little bit. This... more

Okay budget hotel. Recommend taking a Standard Double Room (Budget Double Rooms are small without windows) Good Points: - Cheaper than other hotels in Stockholm - Only 5 minutes walk from underground station. - Only 2 stops to Gamla Stan (old town) on underground - Small convenience store next door. - Complimentary Breakfast - Medium sized room - Reasonably Priced... more

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in on business, and it is absolutely away and clear as the most overpriced rip-off I have ever experienced. I paid £232 including breakfast for 2 nights. The price was presumably so high as I only booked two days before arrival. The size of my room was fine, but... more

the location was alright, downtown stockholm is sufficiently accessible from the hotel. breakfast was simple, the hotel staff were a little stiff, really, not too helpful or nice. the general impression was that the hotel was considered nice once, a long time ago. at today's standards, the toilet seems bare, the walls thin and the room too small. honestly, the... more

I was looking for the cheapest hotel in central Stockholm, and this was it. I paid 180 GBP for 4 nights, which is not bad. However, the hotel was very disappointing, even at that price overpriced. My room, for a start, was VERY small and, more important, HAD NO WINDOW. It felt claustrophobic, I felt I was sleeping in a... more

The Alexandra is not a bad place for the money or for the location--three blocks from one of the liveliest squares in the Sodermalm district and only two metro stops from the heart of the old city, Gamla Stan. We found the staff very accommodating (except for one front desk person who seemed to have a split personality, but he... more
