This is by no means a four-star hotel. It is seedy, dirty and rundown. While they advertise air-conditioning, only a few rooms actually have it. Mine did not. It was hot and stuffy. This traditional hotel has an excellent location as most sights in Amsterdam can be reached by foot or by tramway which stops in front of the hotel. Don't even think of having a car in Amsterdam!
