A rather overdue review but I am sure the comment still stand one year down the track. We arrived at Federici after a long day, transits and all from Athens. Missed the earlier train to town so had to wait for the next one, and by the time we got to the Termini, it was just before 9pm and the... more

This B&B was situated right next to the metro, excellent for getting around the city. We didn't use the metro late at night so I am unable to comment about this. However, the B&B was run by Fabio - a really helpful guy. The room was clean, basic furnishings but importantly it was quiet ( not sure how many other... more

Apart from the good price, the best thing about Federici is its location right next to the Metro (Ottiviano) and a few minutes walk from St. Peter's Square. Exit the metro station in the direction San Pietro ( not Julio Cesare)Don't be put off by the entrance which just looks like a door to apartments. Inside its clean and efficient.... more

We stayed for 4 nights and were very happy with the find. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location was superb, right next to the metro station and a 5 minute walk to Vatican city. The rest of central Rome was a 10 to 15 minute walk, making this a great budget option for more independant travellers... more

We stayed at this B&B based on the reviews from this site. It lived up to it's expectation. The best part about this place, is the host, Fabio. He made all the difference in our stay in Rome. He mapped out a course for us to walk, recommended two of the best restaurants to eat in, real local places and... more

I liked everything about Federici B&B. Fabio, the friendly proprietor, keeps its very clean. Jet lag was no problem because the bed was very comfortable and the ceiling fan kept the air fresh. The Vatican is a short walk away and the Ottaviano Metro stop is just outside the front door, making it easy to get around Rome. When asked,... more

This B&B is great!! This was my first trip to Italy however my travel companion had stayed at Federici before. The hotel is right outside the Metro station for St Peters (the actual name of the station escapes me right now) however it means the location of Federici takes a lot to be beaten. It also helps you are that... more

We stayed at Federici B & B for 2 nights. It was wonderful! We booked the B & B directly through Fabio via email. He was quick to respond to all emails and questions. Upon arrival, he met us downstairs and helped us with our bags (he showed us how to use the elevator for the building, which was really... more

What can I say about my stay in Rome...? For two months I lived a dream....While studying Latin in Rome during June and July, I stayed at the Federici B & B. The location, several blocks north of St Peter's Basilica, at the Ottaviano Metro stop, is perfect: you can walk to St Peter's in 10 minutes to beat the... more

I am in the same business in Florence Italy so for me Federici was a wonderful find! I chose Federici for it's great location and value... Federici is located right down the street from the Vatican, on a busy street but in a lovely neighborhood. The front door of the building is just steps away from the metro. The room... more
