I stayed here with my two teenagers for 4 nights. The room was very clean and had a well-stocked fridge. And the breakfast came to us! The main bed was HUGE and then we had an extra twin bed. Alberta , who owns the 7 room Hotel, speaks very good english and made us feel at home while we were... more

We stayed for 4 nights in April, 2008 and couldn't have been happier. Great location. The bed was gigantic and comfortable and we had a small balcony that overlooked the street so we could watch the insane Roman traffic. Alberta couldn't have been more helpful. We would definitely go back. more

my wife and i stayed at hotel paba for three nights in may of 08... it is on the second floor (small elevator works well) of a large building off of via cavour, a busy street stretching between the forum ruins and termini train station, the main train depot in rome. this hotel is just great... lovingly cared for and... more

Two words that cause me to give this hotel a very high rating are: Alberta Castelli. Alberta runs a wonderful, warm 7 room hotel located on the 2nd (Euro) floor of a building on Via Cavour, near the Colisseum. If you are looking for special grand scale amenities, this is not for you. But, if you are looking for a... more

The hotel is in a great location, fairly close to the bus/train station. You are a block away from the Colosseum. Alberta is very nice and helpful. She booked our dinners on a moments notice all but one night. Every restaurant she suggested was fantastic and close to the hotel. The room is large by European standards, with a large... more

Not much to review with this hotel, it is a very basic 2 star hotel that is centrally located in downtown Rome. I had difficultly finding the hotel since the building numbers and hotel name are not that obviously marked. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor and the elevator was extremely small (one person or two people cramped).... more

We heard about the Hotel Paba through Rick Steve's guide book to Rome. It is located near the Termini train station, the Colusseum, the Forum. After reading the positive reviews on this site and others, we contacted the hotel directly about a triple room. My husband, daughter, and I were thrilled to arrive to find a good size room -... more

Hotel Paba, is an older, smaller hotel, but you can't beat it for the price or the location. It is located in old Rome, literally around the corner from the Coliseum. The rooms are average size for Italy. They were clean and the room was cleaned daily, including bed liens, etc. The bathroom was a nice size as well. Each... more

Myself and two friends stayed here for 5 nights and found the stay perfectly enjoyable. The room (#6) was large by European standards. It was equipped with three wonderfully firm twn beds. One of us is a "big boy" and the bed was just fine for him. The room had a small refridgerator and wonder little balcony over busy Via... more
