Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, living up to every expectation. Extremely well organised hotel with friendly staff. Speedy check in to a cool air conditioned room. Though the room felt a little small we put this down to the 'king-sized' double. Both bedroom and bathroom were decorated to high standard and clean. The bed was turned down each evening and the air... more

4 adults stayed for 4 nights and it was lovely. From the moment we arrived tired and hungry from our journey when the reception staff were first class and even gave us a big map and pointed out several interesting places and how to get to them from the hotel till check out at noon that was great and you... more

Rome as a city is the perfect romantic get-a-way. The hotel was clean, well presented and a reasonable price. The room was a good size and comfortable and the service was amazingly friendly, informative and better than 90% of hotels I have stayed in previously. Breakfast was excellent also. It is only a 10 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain... more

I could not fault this hotel . I t exceeded my expectations. It is not cheap but, if your staying here then you re not looking for a "budget hotel" I found it good value. The room although not huge( but this is a Rome city hotel) was beautiful, and like most looked over the inner courtyard. There is an excellent... more

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, and we were having a conference in this hotel as well. Location is fine, but it is somewhat on the side of the downtown. If you are planning a vacation, I would suggest staying somewhere closer to Piazza Navona or Trevi fountain. Regarding accommodation, I think I had a standard room, which... more

The empire palace hotel was wonderful. My family and I stayed there and it was clean and the breakfast was great!! The room was on the small side, but the bathroom was huge and very clean. It was a short walk to Piazza Barberini, and we would all definitely stay there again. more

We stayed in a standard room which was big enough for 2 and 2 small suitcases. The hotel is actually a lot smaller than it looks on the website. Positive: Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Excellent beds. Quiet hotel. Great breakfast! Hotels is close to subway. A few restaurants nearby. Negative: nothing really except maybe that the rates... more

It appears that most hotel reviews are a reflection of price versus expectation. With that in mind, we found this to be a lovely hotel, with a good price (we booked through Hotwire), and centrally located. It was more on the edge, than in the center of central Rome, but it was less than 10 minutes to the train station... more

A surprise anniversary gift brought me to this hotel, and I was not disappointed. We were greeted by wonderfully friendly staff with an excellent command of the English language and knowledge of the city. My husband forgot to declare his SLH membership during booking, but we were still given our room upgrade on arrival, no questions asked. Our junior suite... more

The hotel is very nice. It is a tiny boutique hotel. The decoration is very nice, very pleasant. Front desk staff is a bit rude, but nothing too upsetting. Location is nice, lots of restaurants and bakeries around the hotel. The breakfast area and breakfast it self is fantastic! Delicious food, best cappuccino ever! Only 1 tiny little problem, the... more
