perfectley acceptable 3 star accomadation, in a good and safe part of town, quite a trendy, arty area, 2 mins from tram stop straight to the central train station, 5 mins walk to underground with trains direct to main airport, eating and drinking places a few mins from hotel, no bar in hotel but there is an italian restaureant in... more
I stayed at the Golden Leaf from December 29 through 31. Expedia had a special for about USD 43/night (+9 in taxes and fees) for a single room and 50/night for a double room. The hotel is in the Ostend area, close to the railway tracks of the Ostbahnhof station. The noise level from the trains is not high, but... more
I satyed at the golden leaf based on reviewes in this site and was not disappointed. I was there for 2 nights and payed 54 eu/night via hotels.de (including breakfast which was not rich but sufficient). The staff was polite and helpful. The room was spacious and modern and the kitchenette was very nice to have. It is only about... more
My husband and I spent 10 nights at the Golden Leaf in February of 2007, and had a great time. The Golden Leaf is a little out of the way, but we found the value of the hotel more than made up for the walking distance to the train. The walk to the train was about 15-20 minutes, and a... more
I stayed there for 10 nights, during Worldcup 2006, and it is a good city hotel, with nice bedrooms and good bathroom. It doesn't have air condicioner so it is very hot during summer. The personnel was helpfull, but avoid the restaurant. The personnel at the restaurant are rude with customers. The breakfast is not worse for 11€. It is... more
Not luxurious but comfortable; the hotel is located in a quiet part of town; taxi from the airport will cost you 25-30E but you can make your way there by train and tram if you are not overloaded with baggage !!! There are railroad tracks about 500 meters from the hotel but it did not bother us with undue noise.... more
The hotel fully lives up to its motto "middle class is not necessarily mediocre". It is no luxury hotel, but much better than many 3-star Frankfurt hotels I have stayed in. It is in the eastern part of Frankfurt, in a quiet street off Hanauer Landstrasse, where you find a lot of car dealerships, a lot of advertising agencies, more... more
The hotel is very nice. Just some observations. Do not take the offered breakfast. You will be hungry except may be if it is Sunday. You would not find any food but at the gas station in the area, so you may want to spent 11 EUR for actually cereal, a bun with sousages and scrambled eggs with coffee. The... more
