Have stayed in many hotels around the world and this one is not the worst. 20 mins taxi from the airport, check in was a pleasant experience, with the staff being friendly and informative. Room was very comfortable and clean although I do agree the hotel does look a little tired. Breakfast was fine, everything you needed with very friendly... more

This hotel is not in the city centre, it is a good ten to fifteen minute walk. On a dirty neglected street, also out of the way of the tour buses. The service was very poor, unfriendly check in staff , the breakfast was the worst breakfast I have ever had at a Holiday Inn and we are frequent users.... more

One cannot overstate how bad this hotel is. I consider myself a seasoned traveler and have visited many a far flung place, developing counties etc. I don't mind roughing it. Holiday Inns normally hit the spot between comfort and value. However this place takes the cake. Stay at this hotel if you like: - Rock hard pillows that stink -... more

Drove around Dublin for 1 hour trying to find this hotel, when we did eventually find it , we were given more directions around a 1 way system to hotel car park, we got lost again as the car park entrance was underground and concealed from view. Check in ok, had a spacious and clean family room but pillows extremely... more

We stayed two nights. They let us check in several hours early as we'd just traveled 17 hrs and were wanting to shower and rest a bit. Our room was at the end of a hall, by the top of the back stairs, and was very quiet – we may have been the only ones on the hall. It was... more

Dangerous area! Downtown Dublin is a good 20-25 minute walk and walking there or back can mean putting you and all of your belongings at risk! The front staff was rude, internet costs bundles, and I had a couple of partiers right next door that sounded like they were in my room. When I called the front desk, nothing was... more

Previous reviews had left us apprehensive, but we found the Holiday Inn Dublin (City Centre) to be a perfectly fine place to stay. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, the place was quiet and the location was within easy walking distance to many places we wanted to see. more

Stayed here on a weekend break in January. Hotel was booked via the Holiday Inn website with a flexible rate. The City Centre was a good 20 minute walk, along Pearse Street, which in parts looks run-down! Reception staff were very unfriendly, and the Reception is outdated and small, with only one seat! The Hotel bar is decent, and not... more

Unsafe area, got threatened by locals on our way back from City Centre (Yes the City Centre is 20 minutes walk) Terrible breakfast, terrible untidy room, noisy traffic outside. Staff unhelpful, acted like they didnt want to be tere. Owner grunted over our breakfast and room complaints. Holiday Inn name should be ashamed. Dont be fooled, not a pleasant stay.... more

I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occassions for work. Previous reviewers are right that, if you are a tourist, it is far from being central, but it wasn't too far from my office. Colleagues said that the area isn't very safe at night, but I didn't experience any problems. The rooms are fine, the beds comfortable,... more
