A return visit to the Kelvingrove and I am happy to say It was just a lovely as the first time. Family run and extremely friendly, lots of information on hand as to 'what's on' and how to get there. Kelvingrove Hotel is well situated for easy access into the heart of Glasgow City but only a few minutes walk... more

One would think this would be an average B&B. That's what I thought but as soon as I entered the Kelvingrove I was proven wrong. This hotel is family owned and relatively small. The staf is extremely nice offering 5 star customer service. I stayed there for 10 days, thus, had an opportunity to really expereince the Kelvingrove hospitality. Whatever... more

My mother, my sister and I stayed in the Kelvingrove during a weekend break to Glasgow. A bus from the airport dropped us at a stop just outside the hotel. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and was always warm and cosy. Although we had a room at the front of the... more

I stayed at the hotel for six nights, from 13 - 19th Sept 2008. Physically, the hotel looks like any hotel that you can find in a city area. The room itself is a bit smallish (with ample facilities though) compared with the price tag. However, where it excels most and when I felt that the price is justified is... more

I agree with all the good reviews that I've seen on this hotel (helful staff, good breakfast, good quality of room furnishings etc). Naturally, beinging a fairly old building you can't expect sound insulation (particularly from the room above yours) to be perfect. I was woken on both nights of my stay by people returning late to the room above... more

My husband and I had a very comfortable weeklong stay at the wonderful little family-run Kelvingrove hotel. The hotel is located in a great area of the city near the convention center, beautiful Kelvingrove park, the park's excellent (and free) museum, and lots of nice restaurants and pubs (recommend Mother India's Cafe, The Sisters, and Oran Mor). We stayed in... more

I stayed in room 14 for 3 nights during an August 2008 city break. My room rate was 65 UK pounds per nignt B&B. I found the hotel very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Its located in the west end about 20 mins walk from the centre of the city and close to several museums and restaurants. One restaurant... more

Had a great stay at the Kelvingrove in June. Friendly and helpful service from the reception staff - always willing to help out with directions and recommendations. Excellent breakfast every morning - great way to start the day. Room was excellent and comfortable with an ensuite (ensuite small but I was expected that so not a problem). I had a... more

We stayed at the Kelvingrove In July. Our family group of four got our first impression of Glasgow on our way to the hotel. Looking lost with map in hand, a friendly Scot rolled down his window and said, "Are you lost? Follow me." He took us straight to the door of the Kelvingrove. The staff at the hotel were... more

The Kelvingrove is a small hotel, just a short walk from Glasgow's great Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery and the lovely Kelvingrove Park. The owner and people working at reception are very friendly and helpful. There is free internet access in the lobby. Excellent full Scottish breakfast included. Our twin room was small but comfortable, with en suite with shower.... more
