Definitely the hippest place to stay in Edinburgh! The staff was really friendly and helpful. At check in, we were taken directly to our room and shown how to use all of the gadgets in the room. The light switches were actually buttons which had to be continually pressed to brighten/dim the lights. The room itself was clean and pretty... more

My husband and I stayed at the Tigerlily for 3 nights during the Edinburgh Festival in 08. Considering we were paying over $400 a night we were very disappointed. The hotel itself is gorgeous which is why we chose it: big beds and bathrooms and very clean. What really got us though is the service. They're friendly enough, but completely... more

This is probably the best modern hotel I have ever stayed in. I am extremely fussy and the only two things I could fault it for was that our room’s fridge wasn't quite cold enough and that there was no bath in our room. It was complete luxury and a joy to stay in. The staff were friendly and helpful,... more

My husband and I spent two nights at Tigerlily in June, and we loved it! What we liked: 1. Stylish rooms with all the creature comforts. 2. Fun bar and restaurant -- with great food, too! Be warned, though: the bar is a mob scene at night -- and you have to walk through it to get to the room... more

My husband and I stayed for one night during the Edinburgh film festival. I arrived before noon and they kindly got me into the room before standard check-in time. We stayed in a Georgian mini-suite. The TV was great, the bed sumptuous and the modern bathroom a delight. Friends joined us in the bar for cocktails in the afternoon. They... more

My husband and I stayed in two hotels in Edinburgh in July: Tigerlily and The Salisbury hotel. Both were very stylish, particularly Tigerlily, but we wondered whether both hotels had prioritised style over substance rather too much. Tigerlily is stunning to look at, we stayed in the Black room which was HUGE and had black toilet paper! Other good things... more

My fiancé proposed to me here two years ago! And ever since then, we've been back on the same day every year. It's absolutely fantastic, such a special hotel and everything is catered for your needs. It's very boutique and funky. Most suitable for younger couples for a romantic getaway. It's bang in the middle of Edinburgh's classy George Street... more

The Tigerlily is a shining example of how posh Edinburgh's New Town can get. Quaint, rustic, charming it is not. Nestled above one of the chicest bars of George Street, this handful of rooms is an exercise in how a boutique hotel ought to be done. The rooms are a veritable who's who in design, but provide a level of... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at Tigerlily for a long weekend recently. I am not one for writing reviews but have to say that it was a great experience and would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Edinburgh. I was a little apprehensive, as I had read reviews of hen do's and how pink the hotel is but the decor... more

Tigerlily is a boutique hotel on the main street. Parking is expensive. Despite being informed that we would have reduced parking rates we were charged full price (ten minute walk to car park) Longer to drive due to major roadworks. The hotel itself is very trendy/contemporary. The bar/reception has very young feel and is very buzzy!! Popular drinking place for... more
