I have stayed here a number of times. The hotel is OK, basic & generally clean. Worth a shot when your preferred Birmingham hotels are full. In a "less favoured" neighbourhood, the hotel has a good gated carpark. Not much else to say really. more

An amazing honeymoonI have stayed here a number of times. The hotel is OK, basic & generally clean. Worth a shot when your preferred Birmingham hotels are full. In a "less favoured" neighbourhood, the hotel has a good gated carpark. Not much else to say really. more
Stayed here with my entire family, we had four rooms. Two one one floor, two on another. Worst thing was no lift, and no assistance. My elderly mother was on the same floor as I was. We went up two flights of stairs, then around a corner and down half a flight. Not easy to do with holiday luggage. To... more
I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and the staff made me feal like i was at home, The rooms were good size and the food was good and not very expensive. My only negative comment would be the bar was very smokey ( cart wait till july 1st). I would stay again when i am in the area more
attractive medditerranean looking girl on reception, enough to brighten up my stay alone. She was very helpful and friendly. I find it very very bad how she is left on her own in the hotel with no other help. Rooms could have been better, so could have meals. more
Having spent 2 nights here it is not somewhere I would chose to stay again! The staff were very helpful but the rooms in need of attention. The window in our room was broken and nearly fell out when we opened it! There was no soap in either of our rooms. The free newspapers didn't materialise. The bar there is tiny... more
The room was average the light in the bathroom did not work and the one outside was in the same condition, there was no remote control for the TV and when I reported it missing I was treated as if I had stolen it. The curtains were not big enough to cover the window (gaps left at the sides when... more
Many years ago I found myself with all my possessions in a binbag, having arrived home to find my landlord had changed the locks and hoofed everything I owned out. If someone had said "Stay at the Day's Inn Birmingham East!", I'd've headed to a nice cosy underpass with some cardboard. It would have been nicer, and a great deal... more
The rooms are large and comfortable. The facilities are good, bathrooms big and the staff were very friendly - nothing was a problem - even when I wanted food off the normal menu in their restaurant. Good service. We booked directly with the hotel and they offered the same rate as we found on the internet. Location is also good... more
Where do I start? Arriving at 1.00pm I was able to check in early, already my room number had changed from 48 to 49. I asked if the new room was overlooking the carpark (the quieter side!!!) and was told no, so I asked to be moved, this was done and I ended up in Room 50. I imagined the... more
All you really want to do on a business trip in a strange hotel is to sleep - this is one place where that is nearly impossible! The hotel picture is an illusion. In reality it is built into a hill. You check in sub basement & then climb the stairs lugging your own case (no lift / no porters)to... more
