Needed to get a hotel in Brighton at short notice (on bank hol weekend) and all the ones I wanted to stay at were fully booked so I looked at the reviews for the Ramada Jarvis (on this web site) and they seemed ok so I went ahead with it. What a mistake - this hotel was horrible, the staff... more

We paid £65 a night, which included a great full English breakfast in a once grand but now gloriously faded room. So pretty cheap, and for that reason I've got to give it a big thumbs up. The room itself was a decent size, with a bit of character (albeit at the back), check out the steps up into the... more

Our visit to Brighton was for a weekend at the start of our holiday. Brighton is the resort for stag & hen weekends. This results in a fair amount of drinking and noise. The staff at the Ramada were very accommodating especially one of the managers who went out of his way to help us. The hotel is an ageing... more

Six of us have just returned from Brighton after staying at this hotel for a long weekend. We paid £250 per couple for two nights and all had good sized and clean rooms. Ours was on the first floor with a huge balcony facing the sea, and both other couples had large rooms with sea views. Check in was very... more

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and despite having a 'standard room' we were really impressed - everything was very clean, modern and bright. Breakfast was lovely - we had to queue abit as the hotel was very busy but the cooked food, continental breakfast and drinks etc were great. The hotel itself is on the seafront -... more

I had read good and bad reviews so went to the Ramada with an open mind. The hotel receiption was a bit dark and gloomy, and the floor creaked while we walked around, so I wondered what was in store. However, the room was bright and had what you would expect for a hotel room,(TV, desk, chair, matching furniture and... more

Location of the hotel on the seafront is lovely and its great to wake up to the sounds of the seagulls. You can easily walk into Brighton in about 15-20 min, the hotel is really in Hove. It's great to be on the beach so quickly. We arrived late into the evening and our welcome was a bit unfriendly, could... more

If this were a cheap family run hotel I would praise the faded grandeur, admire the retained victorian features and accept the disorganised breakfast experience. But it isn't......... The double room was small and under furnished but bathroom had been redone quite well. Staff seemed uninterested. Breakfast food was down-market. Breakfast tea took 10 mins to arrive - too late... more
