This is what all hotels should strive for. We came upon Digby Pines Resort quite by accident, and were very lucky to be able to get a lovely room there for one night. We were sorry not to be able to stay longer, because of the hotel amenities, wonderful restaurant and breakfast next morning (breakfast was included in the price)... more

A superb hotel in superb location. Good 25 min walk to small town with limited shopping. Small convenience stores. Woodland walks. more

We recently spent 2 nights at the Pines, primarily for a golf and spa excursion on a week long Nova Scotia trip. We rented a one bed cottage, as we'd read that the rooms in the main lodge were not very sound proof. The cottage had a Queen bedroom, 4 piece bath and a separate small living area with TV... more

We have just returned from Digby Pines. We stayed in a two bedroom cottage which we found simple and adequate. Our primary reason to go to DP was for the food which we had heard was excellent. We were very disappointed to find that the food was rather tasteless and overpriced. more

When we pulled into the Digby Pines we saw what we had eagerly anticipated on our first night in Nova Scotia - a magnificent "classic" Canadian resort building. Unfortunately, that impression dissipated quickly. We had a booked a two bedroom "cottage” with a living room for our family of five. While I didn't expect 5 star accommodations in the cottages... more

The Pines is a beautiful spot, but I don't think I have stayed in a noisier, smaller room. You could hear every word spoken in the rooms on either side or out in the hallway. The location is spectacular, and cottages are available which might be a better choice. Golf at the Pines, eat at the Pines, but don't stay... more

Overall, the Digby Pines is a fantastic place. The pool is lovely, and perfectly heated, the fitness area has a small but comprehensive selection of machines, the dining is SUPERB. Unfortunately, the room we were placed in was the noisiest room I have ever had the misfortune to spend a night in. We could, very literally, hear people coughing and... more

I love grand, historic hotels, and this one did not let us down. We stayed at the Digby Pines on a beautiful night in August in one of the cabins, which i found charming and roomy. It was unseasonably cold and we enjoyed a log fire in the main room after dinner. (My parents, who were in the main hotel,... more

We spent nearly two weeks at different hotels in Nova Scotia, and our family agreed that our night at Digby Pines was the best. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. We loved the lobby sitting area, the views, the beautiful walk through the woods, the stroll down to the harbor, the pool and the little shop. The room and bathroom... more

We were looking for a great experience at Digby Pines. The place looked beautiful from across the water as we approached. Our room was ok. Nice, beautiful views of the water. Pool was superior as we love the warm water. It was like walking in a big bath tub....AWESOME!!!! The food in the dining area was not as impressive as... more
