Wow... so this is not your typical 'mountain' hotel. I found Adara online and booked through their website (got an amazing deal!) and stayed in one of their loft suites. Fantastic location, a few hundred feet from the village center. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in - including my own. Cool amenities in room (mini bar/fridge with glass door, French press coffee maker, sound machine with several choices, i.e. white noise, waves, rainforest, etc.), iPod clock radio, plus the 'standards' : hair dryer, microwave, kettle.... more

Went to Whistler out of season (middle of May) to see what it's like before committing to a winter holiday there. The Adara promised more than it delivers. The reception is cool with a funky design atfirst glance but then you realise that is it's sole prupose. You could not possibly imagine anyone using as an informal get together space.... more

We booked the Adara through Hotwire for a three night stay. Hotwire said it was a 4.5 star hotel. I'd barely give it four stars. Down bedding and robes don't make a 4.5 star hotel. The staff was friendly, but the young woman receptionist never followed up on our requests. One night we asked for extra towels to be delivered... more
