We stayed here for 2 nights in August after catching the ferry from Vancouver. The hotel is in an excellent location, within easy walking distance of the shopping areas and the harbour. Parking is also available near the hotel for $10 per day. The rooms are quite small, but perfectly adequate and well presented. Breakfast was included in the price... more

The hotel has a good central location and is good for a night. The rooms have been partly renewed. The hotel is an old building and so are the rooms. All the sights in Victioria are reachable by foot. The breakfast is above average for a continental breakfast. +Central location +Clean room +Breakfast is above average for a continental +Wireless... more

Stayed 2 nights, enjoyed the proximity to the downtown core - walked everywhere - no need to rent a car to see the best of Victoria. Room was dated, somewhat shabby, but clean, and this, I expect, is what you get for such a decent rate to stay in the downtown area. Forgotten items in the closet were found by... more

If you're going to victoria on a summer weekend, be prepared to pay through the nose for hotel stays. I opted for the Dalton because it was affordable ($115) and downtown. My summary -- very good customer service, but awful rooms. Location was pretty good. Close to shopping, and China Town, and we walked to the Empress. Lots of coffee... more

The lobby of this hotel is very nice and we could tell that they were in the process of renovating the rooms. Our room, however, was stuffy and dirty. The night table and desk area had sticky rings where previous guests had spilled drinks and coffee. The blades of the ceiling fan were loaded with dust. The bed and bedding... more

was travelling to Victoria with a buddy to visit some friends, so I decided to try the Dalton Suites. We stayed there for 3 nights . . . all in all I felt the place was one or the worst hotels I've stayed in but it had a couple of bright spots and considering what I paid per night ($96... more

This hotel was cute and cozy once we got settled in. I thought it was a bit run down at first but after staying there a couple days it grew on me. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with a decent selection (the guy who runs the b-fast closes it at the exact time it... more

Good location in downtown. Be sure to get a room in the back for quiet. Room is a bit dingy but adequate, nice and quiet. Old hotel feel which I liked. The fan made a light clicking noise, no A/C. No screen on the windows, so I kept them closed. Blankets were old but the room was not dirty. Breakfast... more

I arrived at the Dalton Inn & Suites late at night and was offered a choice of a boutique room or a standard and had a look at both. I picked the standard room as it was sufficient for my one night stay. The standard rooms are furnished with antique wood furniture and smaller room with windows that open.. The... more

I spend only 2 nights at this hotel for a very decent price $59.99/night. The location was great since it in the downtown area and the parking is for $10/night. The staff were friendly and check-in was quick. However, the room has very old and antique furniture. The wall wasn't really sound proof, people from the next room were talking... more
