We stayed for several days in the Kingston suite. I didn't pick this place, our companion couple did, and it isn't exactly to my taste (a little stuffy looking even on the website and expensive). The suite itself was great, but had one gaping flaw -- no doors or real barrier between the two bedrooms. In fact the way the... more

Beautiful and super-clean home. Not a warm and friendly place at all. Lots of rules about no shoes, specific times you are allowed in the common areas of the home, etc. Breakfast was good but not overabundant. Missing the "extras" such as no complimentary water or soda. It was available, but for an extra charge on an "honor" jar with... more

We made our vacation this year a trip to Canada and decided to focus our stays in B&B's so as to get a better feel for the areas that we visited. However, our experience here was very unexpectedly unpleasant. First--when we called while en route to confirm our stay, we found that we weren't expected until a day later. Luckily,... more

This was our third stay at the Haterleigh in the last 10 years. Paul is an amazing host, fantastic chef with original British wit and the wisdom of an entrenched community expert. Even if you're only passing through Victoria, your stay as his B&B will be a highlight of your journey and a reason to return. We have moved our... more

Paul and Elizabeth are wonderful hosts. We spent several glorious days at the Haterleigh Heritage Inn in Victoria B.C. This B&B is immaculately kept and beautifully appointed. I loved the stained glass windows and beautiful moulding. In additon the jacuzzi tub in our room kept us in relax mode for the entire visit!!!Paul and Elizabeth gave extraordinary attention to the... more

We stayed at the Haterleigh Heritage Inn over the Canada Day weekend. We were impressed with the beautiful Inn and the gracious and friendly hosts who made us superb breakfasts every morning and helped our stay by booking our tours and offering top notch recommendations for places to see and eat. We enjoyed great sleeps with the nicest linens we've... more

Haterleigh Heritage Inn is within easy walking distance, about 3 blocks, of the harbor and Empress Hotel, and things downtown. Paul and Elizabeth were very helpful with recommendations, which allowed us to see a lot of downtown, go whale watching (saw 8-10 Orcas), dine at very good restaurants, do a Victoria bus tour and see the Butchart Gardens, all in... more

We LOVED the Haterleigh Heritage Inn during our visit to Victoria in May. Paul and Elizabeth were warm and welcoming - and helped immeasurably with plans and dinner arrangements! Paul convinced me to book the seaplane in - and we had SUCH an amazing time - I'll be forever thankful for his input and guidance! Thanks so much! more

I went to Victoria for vacation with my teenage daughter. Our stay at Haterleigh's was superb. We stayed 2 nights in the Victoriana Room and 4 nights in the Kingston Suite. The rooms are beautifully furnished with antiques. Original stained glass windows whisper color and charm into the rooms. Beds are made, room cleaned, and towels replenished daily. Paul and... more

The Haterleigh is a beautiful Victorian B&B on a quiet street. The flowers and the stained glass are beautiful. We stayed in the spacious Victoriana downstairs next to the dining room. One thing I would have preferred was a shade behind the lace on the bath window that overlooked the back of the house where guests park in order to... more
